I have the wheel bearings on my HD checked every 10,000 miles as called for in the manual. So far the rear wheel bearing has been replaced twice, at 20,000 and 40,000 mile checks and the front once, at the 30,000 check.
4,000 miles is too soon for wheel bearings to wear out, I'm glad your bike was still under warranty so you didn't have to pay for them.
Check other entries in this forum for information on oil leaking from the head. Minor leaks are not an indication of a bad head gasket, just a design feature (flaw). If you have to wipe a few drops of oil off the cylinder head after you ride for an hour, that's no problem. If you have to wipe the oil off YOUR head after riding, you have a problem.
Ride free (and keep the greasy side slick, or the down side up, or something like that)
